Tavares, Dorothy Mildred (b. Apr. 20, 1908-d. Mar. 2, 1998)
Daughter of John Estavao Tavares, postmaster at Makawao and Leonora Fernandez. She was the president of her graduating class at Makawao School in 1924, and also the recipient of the valedictorian
award. Rest in peace, Mother Dear.
